Ben is an Associate Attorney with the firm. His practice focuses on insolvency law and commercial litigation. In the area of insolvency, Ben regularly represents debtors and creditors under all chapters of the bankruptcy code and in out-of-court workouts. Ben was appointed by the Western District of Michigan's Bankruptcy Judges to serve on the Committee to Revise the District's Local Bankruptcy Rules, serving as a member of the Business Bankruptcy Subcommittee. He is a member of the Federal Bar Association, Bankruptcy Section steering committee, and was also elected to serve as Editor of New Value, the Federal Bar Association's Bankruptcy Newsletter.
In the area of commercial litigation, Ben has successfully represented individuals and companies ranging in size from sole proprietors to a multi-national auto manufacturer.
Ben received his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, graduating magna cum laude . He resides in Ada with his wife and two children.
